Hey! I am Sophie Douglas and I am the one woman team behind

Bit & Collar.

I started designing Bit&Collar clothing when trying to find something to wear (every girl's nightmare!) I needed something that would take me from a day out watching the hunt, to going out for dinner with my friends. Most of my sweatshirts that were cosy to wear during the day looked too under-dressed for dinner out. And of course my nice shirts were not practical for a day out in the Winter. So, I began the journey towards Bit&Collar. The aim for all our designs is to create a practical, comfy wardrobe with a classic image that you can wear everywhere. 

The name Bit & Collar came about from my love of horses and dogs, I have 2 lovely ponies and a beautiful little doggie. I spend all my time outdoors with them in the beautiful Scottish Borders so felt my clothing range had to work with that.

All our garments are organic and some (where possible) are made from recycled fabric. I felt this was very important to me.
